
André Campos Rocha

André Campos Rocha is an independent researcher with a PhD in Social Sciences from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas). During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Toronto. He also holds an MA in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a BA in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
He is a collaborator on the SSHRC-funded project Worker-Led AI Governance: Power Resources and Shared Learnings of Cultural Workers in Canada and Brazil. His research focuses on cultural industries and the digital game industry, intersecting sociology of work, social theory, and digital labour studies. His broader research interests include the platformization of labour and cultural production, labour process theory, power resources theory, labour mobility and migration, and the politics of leisure and free time.
