Currently, DigiLabour is based at the University of Toronto and focuses on platforms, data and artificial intelligence (AI). It both analyzes the impact of platforms, data and AI in various sectors – especially delivery, media, culture and technology – and investigates how workers have built collectivities and technologies through associations, cooperatives, among others.
DigiLabour has at its roots a Latin American perspective to understand technology and labour and aims to address global perspectives on the topic. Some of its values are knowledge mobilization, policy and community-oriented research, impact and internationalization.
